A Bit About Hannah

Hannah is a Vocalist, Actress, and Pianist who has been performing in both community and professional projects for 15 years. She has an extensive background in Musical Theatre, Opera, and Jazz, and regularly performs RnB, Rock, Funk, & Pop. She also plays Trumpet, French Horn, Percussion, Ukulele, and Guitar.

Having been a Music Teacher for 5 years, Hannah enjoys teaching all ages and experience levels! She has been in choirs and theatrical productions since early childhood, and started formally learning piano at 18. Miss Hannah to her theatre kids, she loves directing, casting, and coaching for Musical Theatre.

As a Vocal Coach, Hannah is well-versed in Classical and Contemporary methods. She believes in building from a curriculum on Music Fundamentals, with an early focus on Ear Training and techniques for Vocal Safety, while tailoring repertoire appropriate for each student’s voice, growth, & personal goals. She loves Role Studies, and building Audition and Repertoire books for aspiring actors and singers! She also loves all genres, finding new music, and introducing her students to the full capabilities of their voice across styles!

As a Piano Coach, Hannah loves teaching budding pianists, and any vocalist who wants to accompany themselves. As every person learns differently, she is comfortable with any approach: from a classically structured path following a lesson book, to a focus on looser styles & writing by learning the building blocks and pure familiarity with the instrument. She believes in Music Theory for any experience level, and finding a mixture of pieces that are fun to play and foster a student’s growth with acuity.

Hannah comes from a family of lifelong teachers of all different subjects. What she loves about private lesson teaching most is learning a student’s ideal communication style, and how best to build a relationship of trust to help them grow. She believes strongly that anyone, yes anyone, can learn to make music, and loves helping students find their voice – whether that is by way of existing pieces or writing original music. Seeing a student fully express themselves is one of the greatest joys of teaching!
